| HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) may have extended the deadline for changes to the Construction Industry Scheme, but it hasn’t gone away. From April 2007 the rules for contractors and subcontractors are changing. Please join us at our Scunthorpe Head Office on Thursday 13th July at 10am until 12.30 and we’ll give you the information you need to make informed decisions and see how the forthcoming changes affect you. How well informed are you, and is your contract management system fully compliant? Some of the key questions you need to consider are: • Can you tell the difference between your subcontractors and employees? • How do you verify subcontractors if they no longer have Tax Certificates or Registration Cards? • Do you know HMRC can assign a higher rate tax deduction of 30% to subcontractors that cannot be matched against HMRC records? • Do you know that contractors will face a £100 penalty for every late monthly term? • Plus an additional £3,000 penalty if HMRC believes omissions or errors were caused by negligence or intent? If you are unsure of any of the above, please register today. HMRC and Pegasus representatives will be hosting the event and will highlight what the upcoming changes will mean to your business and how Pegasus CIS can help. Places are limited for this free of charge event, so book your place now. |
