Scunthorpe-based HBP Systems Ltd is on the shortlist for a prestigious national award.
"The company, which is based on Woodhouse Road and is one of the largest business solutions providers in the region, features in this year's Business -Software Satisfaction Awards.
Those voting in the awards include users of accountancy software - mainly financial directors.
HBP is one of only three on the shortlist for the Reseller of the Year award.
The business specialises in Pegasus and Exchequer accounts software.
Managing director Joanne Hill said: "We didn't enter this awards scheme.
"Companies are simply picked out on the basis of a survey in the industry."
The awards scheme is run by leading publisher Sift Media, which says the awards act as a valuable guide to any business taking the decision to purchase new software applications.
The awards ceremony takes place next Tuesday at The Brewery venue in London.
HBP employs 60 people, around half of them in Scunthorpe and the others at its offices in Peterborough, Carlisle and Barnsley.
Twenty of the staff will be going to London for the awards ceremony, where the guest speaker will be writer and comedian Barry Cryer.
Those presenting the awards include Dennis Keeling, who is chairman and chief executive officer of the Business Application Software Developers' Association (BASDA).
Joanne said: "I would like to thank all our staff, and in particular the technical team, because without their hard work we would not have been nominated for such a prestigious award.
"We are all very excited and looking forward to the award ceremony."
There are a number of categories in the awards scheme and companies nominated include names such as Microsoft and Sage.
Recently HBP became an accredited Microsoft gold certified partner, which is Microsoft's way of recognising the highest level of technological excellence.
HBP was formed in 1991 and recently relocated to substantial new premises at Woodhouse Road.
