At HBP Systems, we consider the charity and fundraising work we do as a serious responsibility. Our people decide upon the chosen charities for the year, which means the organisations we fundraise for our always close to our hearts so we’re dedicated to raising as much as possible.
The Social and Charity Committee
The Social and Charity Committee at HBP is internally managed by employees and runs independently from the company management, but everyone is welcome to join. The committee is responsible for planning all of our fundraising and social events throughout the year, so they’re kept very busy.
2019’s First Fundraising Event
In February 2019, the people at HBP took part in a 48-Hour charity Gameathon to fundraise for our chosen charities, Sands and Women V Cancer. This was our first major fundraising event of the year and it was organised by our Operations Director, Tony Pearson. The target was to raise £500 towards the £3000 target for the whole year. Whether it was gaming for two days or raising awareness, the entire company got involved in this event. We are absolutely overwhelmed and delighted that this event raised a total of £2,738.76, which is 91% of the entire year’s target.
We sincerely thank everyone for their support and incredibly generous donations … and this is only the first event.
“We wanted to empower our employees to make a difference in the communities in which we operate, and we thought there was no better way than to let them control our charity giving!”
“This year we want the whole company involved. Four major charity events will be planned and managed by a company Director, which will encourage employees to get involved and ensure that they are doing their bit to help. HBP consider this a social responsibility and fundraising for charities close to us is a part of our company culture. The amount initially raised, will be matched by the company, so it is vital that everyone contributes”.
“We would like to thank all the staff members at HBP Systems for your amazing support throughout 2017. Your efforts will help to ensure that we can continue to be at the forefront of end of life care for the next 25 years and beyond”.
