HBP Systems Is A Double Finalist At The UK IT Industry Awards

Hull business solutions provider and support specialist, HBP Systems, has been recognised by the country’s largest business technology awards, in two separate categories.

The company is in the running for Best Place To Work in IT. Managing Director and former apprentice, Joanne Dixon, describes this as: “a huge honour, especially as my company strategies over the last few years have heavily focused on employee wellbeing and making HBP the best place to work it could possibly be for my team”.

“To be nationally acknowledged for this is an incredible feeling. Most importantly, the hard work I’ve dedicated to making HBP the company it is has paid off for my staff, who I respect and cherish so much. It couldn’t be a bigger incentive to continue increasing the career opportunities we offer IT talent in our area.”

A member of the HBP team who has assisted Joanne with employee wellbeing is Operations Director, Tony Pearson, who has been singled out for a Personal Excellence Award. Just one of four finalists, Tony is shortlisted for the Operational Leader of the Year category at this year’s UK IT Industry Awards.

On how he felt finding out the news, Tony said: “Shocked as no one even told me I was being entered. The first I knew of it was when the finalists came out.”

Nominating Tony for this prestigious and career-defining award was a way for his team to thank him for everything he does for them and the IT industry. Tony joined HBP in 1998 as an Installations Engineer and by 2007 he was promoted to Operations Director.

Responsible for company strategy, managing all IT departments and maintaining high levels of customer service, an example of Tony’s significant contributions and operational success includes HBP’s 12-year Microsoft Gold Partner status.

The prestigious award ceremony will take place in London on Wednesday, 13th November, bringing together the top IT talent from across the country, and HBP Systems will be proud to be among them.
