HBP Systems Is Chosen To Be The First-Ever IT Support Provider Of Kinetic PLC

Lancashire recruitment firm, Kinetic PLC, embarks on a new era by outsourcing its IT support to Humber region IT firm, HBP Systems, for the very first time.

Prominent in the North for its recruitment services in the manufacturing industry, Kinetic has managed its IT internally since opening in 1983.

Over the last three decades, Kinetic has grown to have 8 sites and has won multiple awards for its services. Due to the nature of its business, communication and efficiency are priorities, so Kinetic has always heavily relied on its IT solutions.

Until this year, the firm’s IT had always been managed and supported internally, and given their vast growth, this had never been an issue. But when strategising on new developments and increasing business growth, it was suggested the business explore outsourcing its IT support.

Kinetic’s Financial Controller, Neil Betton, who was significant in the company onboarding an external support provider, explains: “A contact of mine at another recruitment firm told me how much business had improved after they began outsourcing their IT. They provided a glowing reference of their provider.”

The provider was Scunthorpe’s HBP Systems Ltd, which has many years of experience supporting recruitment firms with their IT solutions and installations. However, the Kinetic team needed more than word-of-mouth to assure them that outsourcing for the first time was going to improve business.

Neil explains: “Introducing a third-party provider was going to be a big change for internal staff that were used to in-house support. Some were really quite worried”.

Neil agrees HBP did this: “The whole process has been very transparent and easy to understand for a non-IT trained person and was adapted to fit our requirements with no issue. The proposal was clear and exactly what we were looking for at a reasonable price.”
